We’re always thinking of ways we can improve Flare for small business owners – adding features and functionality that will make Flare Cloud Accounting even more useful to your business. Yesterday, we released enhancements to Flare’s financial dashboard and added update history to many input forms. Following is an overview of the changes.
Financial Dashboard Enhancements
Just as before, Flare’s financial dashboard provides actionable financial information at-a-glance so you can see your company’s financial position and take actions to improve it. We’ve added a few new features and enhancements, including:
You can quickly display unreconciled financial accounts by clicking “Unreconciled Accounts” on the Book/Bank tile. A modal pop-over displays all unreconciled accounts, including: account name, last updated date, book balance and bank balance. Clicking the book or bank balance totals will open the respective bank account.
Past Due Customer Invoices and Top 10 Customers
On the “Due from Customers” tile we’ve added a way to quickly view past due invoices and your top 10 customers. To view past due invoices, click “Past Due” on the tile. You’ll be taken to the invoices table which will display all past due invoices.
View customers that bring your business the most value by clicking “Top 10 Customers”. A pop-over window will open and display the top 10 sales by customer. Clicking the customer sales total will take you to the Customer details view where you can view sales by month for the current year and for the past year.
Past Due Bills and Top 10 Vendors
On the “Due to Vendors” tile we’ve added a way to quickly view past due bills and your top 10 vendors. To view past due bills, click “Past Due” on the tile. You’ll be taken to the bills table which will display all past due bills.
You can quickly view top 10 vendors by expense totals by clicking “Top 10 Vendors”. A pop-over window will open and display the top 10 vendors. Clicking each vendor name will take you to the Vendor details view where you can view expenses by month for the current year and for the past year.
Profit Line Graph
The profit graph still displays an income and expense bar graph as before, though we’ve enhanced the feature by adding a profit line graph that plots the profit curve, month by month.
The latest transactions summary displays the 10 most recent transactions. Click an item to be taken to the transaction details.
We’ve added a history element to many input forms. The history will show you the user who created/updated the form, date a form was created or edited, sub-totals, totals and taxes. In the Sales module (Sales in left menu), the following forms have the new history feature: invoices, estimates, invoice payments, sales receipts, and credit notes. In the Purchases module (Purchases in left menu), the following forms have the new history feature: bills, expenses, bill payments and debit notes.
